The man in the chair

Awhile back, I went to a marketing seminar and they played this video for us.

It was very entertaining to see how different things are now in terms or marketing to consumers, but in the end, the fundamentals are still the same.

Regardless of how you market to people (twitter, facebook, radio, TV, print or online), you still need to answer the fundamental things that consumers are looking for:

  • Who you are
  • Who your company is
  • What your product is
  • What your company stands for
  • Who are your company’s customers
  • What is your company record
  • What is your company’s reputation

Moral is: Without the fundamentals of marketing, your customers are still left wondering who you are and what you want to sell them while they aren’t buying anything from you.  So learn the fundamentals and USE them.
